1. How do I apply SunBlock for Tires?

Answer: Application of SunBlock is a simple two-step process. First, the outer wall of the tire must be cleaned of any previous tire dressings that may have been applied. This is done using the SunBlock Tire Prep, which comes in a convenient spray bottle. Just spray the tire and clean thoroughly using a medium-bristled brush, then wipe off any excess liquid. Second, apply the SunBlock for Tires using a sponge or paintbrush.

2. Can SunBlock be applied in any weather conditions?

Answer: SunBlock for Tires shows best results when applied in dry conditions, above 55 degrees F (13 degrees C).

3. How long does it take for SunBlock to dry and cure?

Answer: In normal conditions, it takes 2-4 hours for SunBlock to dry enough to drive your vehicle, however it can take up to 24 hours to form a permanent molecular bond with the rubber of your tires. For optimum results, washing your vehicle or driving in wet conditions is not recommended until this process has been completed.

4. After my tires have been treated, may I continue to wash them and apply my favorite tire dressings as usual?

Answer: Yes! SunBlock for Tires has been formulated to be fully absorbed and remain bonded to your tire for up to 5 years. You can wash and detail your vehicle as normal, however, you may find that you no longer need to apply tire dressing, as SunBlock for Tires has dust-repelling properties and provides a permanent low-lustre finish.

5. How many tires can I treat with a 6oz. bottle? A 32oz. can?

Answer: One 6oz. bottle of SunBlock will treat about 4 trailer-sized tires. (14-16in.) One 32oz. can could treat up to 12 larger tires, normally found on motor homes, busses or trucks. (20-24in.)

6. Why is it important to use SunBlock Tire Prep?

Answer: SunBlock Tire Prep is highly recommended to remove any residue left over from previous tire dressings that may have been applied. Any residue from commercial tire dressings will impede the bonding process of SunBlock and result in peeling and cracking much sooner than anticipated.
